Storm drains may seem small but they play a big role in our water cycle. When heavy rains fall on our streets, storm drains allow that water to flow from the street into our streams and rivers. This is why it is important to keep these drains clear of trash or debris. Help us spread the word about the importance of storm drains by submitting artwork for a drain in Brattleboro!
Students K-6 are invited to fill out a design submission form by August 1st. Students should draw images around the storm drain that can remind people that drains can affect stream wildlife.
A panel created by the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center will determine a winning design. This design will be painted by a local artist on the storm drain outside of Everyone’s Books.
